SUNSET HIKE! - Mount Hollywood Trail Hike - Griffith Park (Easy/Moderate)

  • Charlie Turner Trailhead 2840 West Observatory Road Los Angeles, CA, 90027 United States (map)

Come join us for a trail we haven’t done in a while! The Mount Hollywood Trail is marked as “Easy” on AllTrails but might feel more “Moderate” to some. As always, we’ll take it as slow as needed so everyone can participate. You’ll need to park either at the Observatory or along the road if the lot is full (their calendar doesn’t show an event this day so paws crossed for lot parking!). The top of this trail provides 360 views of Los Angeles and should be stunning at sunset. If you’ve got a headlamp, bring that with you in case we enjoy the viewpoint a smidge too long and lose the light while trekking back to the parking lot.

Let’s meet at the Charlie Turner Trailhead near the back of the Observatory parking lot at 6:45pm while we wait for everyone to arrive. We will start promptly at 7pm.

As always, honorary corgis (aka non-corgis) and humans with no doggos are welcome to join us as well. If you have a dog-reactive or human-reactive dog and would like a safe space to practice walking with a pack, this is the perfect opportunity. We do suggest utilizing a muzzle if there is a chance your dog might harm another animal or human. If you need assistance with muzzle training prior to attending, don’t hesitate to reach out via email at info@qbsdr.org. If you or your dog are not used to be being around reactive dogs, please be mindful and give them space to work while we walk.

If you’ve ever considered fostering or volunteering, our hikes are a great way to learn more in person about our doggos and what we need help with most.

See you on the trail!

**If a hike must be cancelled for any reason, we will announce it on our social media so make certain you are following us on FB & Instagram.**
